During KS3 Technology pupils will be taught Design and Technology and Cooking and Nutrition. Pupils will learn a variety of skills and gain knowledge across both subject areas through both theoretical and practical work. Throughout their time at KS3:

Pupils will understand the impact that design and that diet has on lives.

Pupils will have the opportunity to work with a number of materials and ingredients in order to produce working products and nutritious dishes.

Pupils will be aware of current issues and be aware of moral, social, cultural and economical influences associated with materials and ingredients.

Pupils will gain life skills that they can take forward into their future lives.

Cooking and Nutrition:

School can provide basic ingredients for pupils for a small voluntary contribution.

For all practical lessons, pupils will be required to be bring an apron, a container with their names and a bobble for longer hair.

To reduce food waste, all dishes should be collected at the end of the school day.
Design and Technology:
