All students in History will -

Gain the ability to frame an argument, considering conflicting points of view, before reaching a judgement based on in depth subject knowledge

Understand the methods of Historical enquiry and to question the author, purpose, style and bias of any source and be able to apply contextual knowledge to sources

Place historical events in the correct chronological context and have a strong knowledge of causes and consequences of historical events

Show Britain is a cosmopolitan country and from its earliest recorded history has been pluralistic society

Place pupils’ knowledge, especially SEND pupils, in a national and international context
