Inclusion Quality Mark
The Inclusion Quality Mark [IQM] is an award to show the inclusivity of schools. It is a rigorous procedure by where evidence is collated over a period of time and submitted for appraisal by the IQM board. Once sufficient evidence is provided to show that schools celebrate, accept and respect diversity including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs and other ideologies, then a two-day in-depth face to face assessment takes place. After deliberations at board level, it is decided if a school is suitable to be awarded the IQM. Here at St Damian’s, we have successfully been awarded this prestigious accolade three times since 2015 (the award lasts for 3 years). In July 2022 we were re-awarded our IQM status and we continue to work hard to ensure that everyone feels included in our community.
